Come, let us sing for
joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music
and song. We invite you to experience First Church Pasadena through our extensive music programs. The mission of FUMC’s Music and Fine Arts Ministry is to provide a ministry where members of music ensembles and fine arts groups feel connected to their choir, the music ministry, the congregation as a whole, and to God. We strive to provide opportunities for participation on all levels of our membership from “the-cradle-to-the-grave”. Each fine arts organization is designed to ensure they maintain the “Christ-Centered” structure of Wesleyan small groups, focusing not only on music preparation, but also on spiritual growth. We believe that music is a very effective tool in teaching the Christian faith and the Holy Scriptures and that sacred music is an offering to the Glory of God. Music experience is not required to participate in the Music Ministry, simply a desire to be of service to God and His church.
