First United Methodist Church Pasadena is church with a fresh vision for ministry. We believe that the children are the future of the church. As a community of faith, we have dedicated the year 2009 as the year for the children. Worship for Young Disciples "WYD" is just the beginning of the many ways we can minister to our children. Our Christian Life Center offers many ways to minister to the children of our community. For instance, UPWARDBasketball is a Christian based basketball league that uses our gymnasium for games and practices.
Our Growth Groups are another new and exciting ministry in the church. Using the "Sticky Church" model, the sermon based bible studies offer great oppertunities to have Christian fellowship in the comefortable atmosphere of someones home.
