Great Faiths Tour
Great Faiths Tour
Have you ever wondered about other faith traditions and why they worship the way they do? Do you like to experience other churches’ traditions but don’t like to go to a new church by yourself?
In our religiously plural culture, we have many Christian denominations with their own particular history, traditions and worship styles. The Adult Ministries Team is sponsoring some “field trips” over the next year so that interested people can broaden their experience and do it with friends. Prior to going as a to a guest-church, we will have a class that will cover the history and practice of the church.
GREAT FAITHS TOUR CONTINUES
The Adult Ministries Team has selected the two faith traditions that we will visit on our next two field trips to encounter groups outside of our own. Not only will a group go together to experience a worship service away from FUMC, but we will prepare the week before by studying the history, doctrine and practices of the selected tradition. The Rev. Cheryl Smith will be leading both the class and the field trip. If you have been looking to expand your knowledge and appreciation for people who do things differently from us, then this might be a good adventure for you.
Sign-up is required so that we can make sure we have proper transportation and arrangements.
