ESL - English as a Second Language
Our church is once again partnering with Harris County
Department of Education to offer ESL (English as SecondLanguage)
and Pre-GED classes here on Tuesday andThursday mornings.
We arelooking for gently used toys appropriate for children under
the age of 4 (cars, dolls, blocks, Barbie’s, trucks) as well as toys
for babies of ESL students. We also could use baby beds,
walkers, strollers, high equipment chairs and play pens
to be used in the Nursery. Please call Penny in the CLC Office
if you have items to donate. 281-487-2843.
Chow -
Wednesday nights at 6:00. Come join us for CHOW,
fellowship and delicious food. It cost only $6.00 for adults and
$4.00 for children/youth. Our format is a little
different this year – we are looking to Ministry Teams
to help us with CHOW to help raise money for their
ministries.
Chow will start up again on September 15, 2010 at 6:00pm.
Special Events
The First United Methodist Church hosts weekly lunches for the
Pasadena Rotary Club, and monthly lunches for the Pasadena
Chamber of Commerce. We cam accomodate large and small
groups.

Come see us in the Solarium Sunday morning for delicious coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. We will be serving from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. and again from 10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on the 1st and 3rd Sundays
