The graded choir program at First Church Pasadena gives our children and youth, Kindergarten through 12th grade, the opportunity to serve God and His church in a very special way. Through the choir experience our young people learn singing and instrumental skills, music reading, liturgy and special disciplines. They also grow in faith and in Christian leadership as our choirs create beauty and inspiration for the worship service. Rehearsals for our Children’s Choirs are Sunday evening from 5:30 – 7:00 pm, as part of the E-Company children’s programs. These children will share their musical gifts at worship services, in a Spring Musical in April, and for events outside of the church. Youth will participate in worship services and take their talents on tour in the summer. They will rehearse Sunday afternoons from 4:00 – 5:00 pm just prior to the United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) programs. |
